Kidepo Valley National Park is a large national park in North Eastern Uganda, 520 km (320 mi) from Kampala, Uganda’s capital city. It is 1,442 km2 of mostly rugged savannah, dominated by the 2,750 metres Mount Morungole and transected by the Kidepo and Narus rivers, creating two distinct valleys.

Murchison Falls National Park is located in North Western Uganda. The park is approximately 300 kilometres (190 mi) northwest of Kampala, Uganda’s capital city and at 3,840 km2, is one of Uganda’s largest parks. It takes approximately 4 hours to drive from Kampala to Murchison Falls.

Queen Elizabeth National Park is 1,978 km2 and it takes approximately 5 hours to drive there from Kampala The park area extends from Lake George in the northeast to Lake Edward in the southwest, and includes the Kazinga Channel that connects the two lakes.

Lake Mburo National Park is located in Western Uganda. The park is situated approximately 240 kilometres (150 mi) by road west of Kampala, Uganda’s capital and largest city. It takes approximately 3.5 hours to drive from Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park.

Mount Elgon National Park is a national park 140km (87mi) north of Lake Victoria. The park spans the border between Uganda and Kenya in Western Uganda. The Ugandan portion covers 1,110km2 and is home to the famous Sipi Falls.
